GLS Lamps Factory

Gls lamps production in NEEASAE has started in 1947 with a rate of 3 million lamps / year .

Since that date GLS factory has been greatly developed now production lines have been added to cover the market needs and renew the art of production according to the most recent universal development either in equipment or manufacturing methods , keeping quality and reducing cost .in 1990 , the last developed production line with speed up to 2500 lamps /hour was installed .

Now days . the GLS factory is considered the major lamps factory in the middle east and Africa , and one of the pioneers of the world , whereas the production capacity with normal operation , two shifts system , is up to 78 million lamps / year this capacity raises to 117 million lamps / year eighth three shifts operation system . at present , yje production is carried out by twelve semi – automatic production lines where tha machines of every line are connected together by complicated electronically and mechanical means . inspection , deduction and sorting out of main defects are carried out electronically.

The technical inspection of the production stages is performed according to the total quality assurance systems .

The factory provides several types of tungsten filament , lamps , either vacuum or argon filled where power ranges from 7 to 200 watts . the full range of lamps shapes and sizes is produced with diversity of caps depending on the market needs ( Edison E 27 – Edison E 14 – Bayonet B 22 ) .

Thanks to the deep routing of the factory and its great expertise in this special industry , it never ceases from improving and introducing new types to present to the Egyptian market and world market , a new product always improved and with high quality .

The factory has been awarded the world class quality assurance system certificate ISO – 9002 in , January 1994 . moreover , all the factory products conform to the Egyptian standards and the international standards IEC64 for performance requirements of tungsten filament lamps , and IEC 432 for safety specification for tungsten filament lamps .

The quality control in the GLS factory

The lamps industry considered one of the most sensitive industries with regard to the raw materials with which the lamp is manufactured , also the manufacturing method , furthermore the binding of the product to the customer daily life has an extreme effect on his opinion towards the product which reflects the rang of the product quality achieved .

Therefore , NEEASAE company gives special care to have the product quality control led thought the firm and regular incoming goods inspection within astringent evaluation system according to the international sampling and acceptance & rejection systems. ISO – 2859 and ISO – 3951 , and have the choice of supplies related to high quality materials . much further , the products is controlled in every phase of manufacture within a firm and strict process control system covering each stage of production to ensure that a non – conforming intermediate product is not transferred to the next stage .

Hence , random samples from the finished and semi- products are taken – laboratory measurements are carried out to all electrical and lighting ratings , the safety measurements and life are tested for the diverse types of lamps . the figures obtained from our products measurements score – high standard records if compared to the products of the world – wide companies specialists in lamps manufacture this is obviously noticed throughout periodical benchmarking conducted to study our product quality performance in comparison to the others .
